Truth for Life

Hello and Welcome,
Thank you, so very much for visiting my site and hopefully you will find the time that you spend here to be helpful and informative. I want to set our focus upon what I believe to be Biblical truth as it pertains to God's will to heal our lives and bodies. Through the years, there have been so many false teachings, scams, and con-artists who claimed to be operating in the divine power of God, only to be revealed as liars and crooks. I'm not sure the damage they have caused to the people who placed their trust in them will ever truly be known however, I think thousands of people have lost their faith in God due to the failures of their deceitful teachings. As a Christian, I must openly state that I have a profound need for God's miracles on a regular basis, however there are basic Biblical truths that must be understood when one desires a life filled with the healings and miracles of God. As I close my introduction, please let me say that I will attempt to serve up what God has proclaimed in His scriptures as it pertains to living a blessed and healthy life. Within the following texts, you will read what I believe to be essential truths regarding His divine will to bless and heal every area of life and body.

"With his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5
Jesus tells of His mission: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor: he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised" Luke 4:18.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and HEALING ALL MANNER OF SICKNESS AND ALL MANNER OF DISEASE AMONG THE PEOPLE. And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them, Matthew 4:23,24. Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses, Matthew 8:17. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree . . . by whose stripes ye WERE healed, I Peter 2:24.

Although many people know that God can and will heal, the question remains, "Will He do it?" One must understand that God wanted healing for mankind so much that He made it part of the Atonement: With his stripes we are healed, Isaiah 53:5. The Roman whip took pieces of flesh from Jesus' back as it cut into His body; but each time that whip came down it meant that every person could be healed from any sickness or disease. Surely he hath borne (carried away)our griefs (sicknesses and diseases), and carried our sorrows (pains), Isaiah 53:4.

While God does provide healing for every person, one must understand that preparations to receive it must be made. He has promised to heal you if you are a Child of God, But all the promises and blessings of God are conditional. And ye shall serve the Lord your God (the condition) and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee (the promise), Exodus 23:25.

We need to remember God's conditions. Jesus said to a crippled man beside a pool, "Wilt thou be made whole"? Jesus knew he could be healed if he really wanted a new life. One may also assume, Jesus is saying the same thing to people today, "Wilt thou be made whole?" The man beside the pool found out there is nothing too hard for God. However, we must remember, all of God's healings and miracles are recieved through faith. We must KNOW that all of God's promises are true. He has obligated Himself to heal us and take care of us if we meet His conditions. One of the conditions is we must trust Him completely and be obedient to Him in all His ways.
One must conclude, the most important condition for recieving anything from God, is getting our souls right with Him. We need to receive a born-again experience, a blood-bought salvation, not a stiff, formal handshake-and-join-the-church religion. One must understand that any healing begins on the inside of the soul. When our souls are right with God, we can receive any promise in the Word. God loves His children, and He will not withhold any good thing from those who love and serve Him. Too many people, however, do not want to live for God. They want to be well and happy, but at the same time, they want to live for themselves, instead of Him. One could say, God does not heal people to give them more strength to sin, He heals them so that He might be glorified and His Kingdom may become more real to this world.
